Amid growing clamour for Rahul Gandhi to join the Cabinet, the young Congress leader today steered clear of the issue saying only time will show.
"Only time will show," 38-year-old Gandhi told reporters when asked whether he will join the Cabinet or work for the party after the impressive performance of the Congress in the elections.
Gandhi was greeted by the newly-elected MPs at the meeting of the Congress Parliamentary Party.
He occupied one of the back benches as the CPP re-elected his mother Sonia Gandhi as its chairperson. Later she nominated Manmohan Singh as CPP leader.
