The man who made good copy and good footage is all set to be in the news again. Former chief election commissioner T N Seshan will host a political chat show on Star TV from April, but not every politician can make it to his set.
Called Chat Session With Seshan, the 30-minute weekly programme is a brainchild of Seshan himself. Star TV chief R Basu was reported to be only too happy to air a chat show hosted by Seshan.
Seshan, however, has made it clear that he will not talk to three politicians on the show: Former Prime Minister P V Narasimha Rao, AIADMK supremo J Jayalalitha and Janata Party leader Subramanian Swamy.
A list of politicians have been drawn up for the chat show, and shooting is scheduled to begin in mid-February. It would be a one-to-one chat show, they say.
