Shadow boxing persists between alliances in Maha

Posturing, shadow boxing and issuing of empty threats is on, among the partners of two major political alliances of in Maharashtra as the stalemate over seat sharing talks for Lok Sabha elections continues.

Congress state president Manikrao Thakre reacting to NCP president Sharad Pawar, "if NCP is free to explore options, then we are also equally free to do so and Congress is capable enough to contest all 48 seats on its own".

We are firm on our demand for 27 seats but that does not mean, talks on seat sharing had collapsed, we will be meeting NCP leaders on 27th of this month and we still wish to have alliance of all secular parties.

Meanwhile speaking with media person’s state BJP president Nitin Gadkari said, "our alliance with Sena is based on Hindutva ideology and we wish it continues in the interest of Hindutva ideology.

However if they don't want to continue alliance, they should say it clearly and should not create confusion over the issue"

Fearing worst BJP has also planned to put up show of strength in all five regions of the state.  Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi will address rallies all over state.  The first two rallies will be addressed by Modi on 25th of this month.  He will address rallies at Gondia in Vidarbha region and one at Pimpalgaon-Baswant in Northern Maharashtra.

Interestingly in Shiv Sena's mouthpiece Samana, Sena supremo Bal Thackeray has called BJP, dear Kamla and goes on to call BJP as the first love of Sena.  He also asks BJP to not to get disturb by the rumors of possible alliance between Sena and NCP.
