Good mentoring programs by consulting companies attract the students

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Association of Management Consulting Firms (AMCF) conducted a Survey of MBA students from the country’s top B-schools.
The survey concluded that 84% Indian B-School students choose consulting as a professional choice. This decision by students comes on the back of global engagement opportunities and good mentoring programs given by consulting companies.
Similarly, 64% of the students opined that the location of the consulting company was not an important influencer. Out of those, 54% respondents prefer strategy consulting as a career.
The survey was conducted interviewing 1,000 students across the ten B-schools in India.
They were asked about their interest in consulting as a career, what influenced their opinions about consulting, and their perceptions about specific issues, including work-life balance, and career options post-consulting.
