Shares of power transmission, engineering, procurement and construction company, KEC International surged nearly 5 per cent to close at Rs 149.35 a share after the company bagged an overseas order worth Rs 88 crore from Barki Toijk,a national electricity company of Tajikistan.

The order is a turnkey project for the supply and construction of 220KV double circuit lines and the project is to be executed within 18 months. The RPG group company announced the order during market hours. A total of 55,119 shares changed hands at the BSE.
