Amid trimming of positions by speculators in the absence of global cues, lead prices eased by 0.60% to Rs 141.50 per kg in futures trade today.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in December fell 85 paise, or 0.60%, to Rs 141.50 per kg in business turnover of 922 lots.

On similar lines, the metal for delivery in January shed 70 paise, or 0.49%, to Rs 142.55 per kg in 172 lots.

Marketmen said besides subdued spot demand, absence of cues from the global markets as the London Metal Exchange remained closed for Christmas holiday, weighed on the lead futures prices here.
