Apollo Tyres hits 26-month low on weak March quarter results

Shares of Apollo Tyres hit a 26-month low of Rs 185 apiece, down 5 per cent intra-day on the BSE on Thursday, after the company reported a sharp decline of 66 per cent year on year (y-o-y) in consolidated net profit at Rs 84 crore for the quarter ended March 2019 (Q4FY19). While the profit was dented due to higher expenditure and one-time loss of Rs 100 crore, the revenue from operations during the quarter grew 6 per cent at Rs 4,274 crore against Rs 4,034 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal. SBI Q4 result preview: Profit growth may be muted; slippages to be watched

State-owned State Bank of India (SBI) is scheduled to announce its March quarter results FOR 2018-19 on Friday midst expectations of flat growth in profit and a single-digit growth in net interest income (NII). Gold check | Prices hold firm ahead of US-China trade talks

- Gold prices were little changed on Thursday ahead of Sino-U.S. trade negotiations, while demand for government bonds, Japanese yen and a key technical resistance limited gains for the safe-haven metal.

- Spot gold edged up 0.2 per cent to $1,283.41 per ounce at 1:11 pm. US gold futures were also 0.2 per cent higher at $1,284.10.

Showing significant acceleration over last year’s 1% growth, Majesco ended FY19 with $140m revenue, up 11% y/y organic, 13% reported. Also, better win ratios were reflected in the $97m order backlog, up 7% y/y (vs. declines in the two previous quarters). Cloud (44% of revenue, up 46% y/y organic) led to higher growth and margins. The Q4 9.9% EBITDA margin, down 173bps q/q, up 389bps y/y, was a shade constrained due to provisions and hiring but ended FY19 at 10.2% (vs.

2% in FY19). We raise our estimates, turning positive on the pace of growth (the last six quarters averaging 3.3% q/q), which allows leeway for margins. We retain our Buy, with a `610 target (from `570 earlier).
