India's mineral production in March grew 15.7 per cent from a month ago to Rs 6,713 crore, an official release said Monday.
 
The sharp month-on-month rise came on the back of increased production of coal, lignite, crude petroleum and natural gas, it said.
 
In the year ended March, mineral output was up 4.3 per cent from a year earlier.
 
March production of six minerals that contributed 95 per cent of the value of total mineral output, as detailed by Press Information Bureau.
