National Aluminium Co (Nalco) jumped 3.64 per cent to close at Rs 469.55 a share after recent reports suggested that the company has raised aluminium prices by 7.87 per cent or Rs 10,000 a tonne to Rs 137,000, effective March 1, to reflect a sharp rise in the metal's prices on the London Metal Exchange.
 
A total of 1.32 lakh shares of the company changed hands at the Bombay Stock Exchange. Shares of the company soared to an intra-day high of Rs 476 and slumped to a low of Rs 433.
