Sensex keeps up steam above 10,000Our Markets Bureau / Mumbai February 08, 2006Even after conquering the 10,000-point peak, the Sensex refused to rest on its laurels. It gained another 101.86 points or 1.02 per cent today to record its first-ever close above the 10,000-mark at 10,082.28. The Nifty also closed up 19.65 points or 0.65 per cent at 3,020.10 after touching an all-time high of 3,025.10.It was an all-time closing high for the Sensex, Nifty as well as the CNX Midcap Index. The CNX Midcap Index closed up 21.05 points or 0.48 per cent at 4,368.90 after touching 4,388.
