B-Town marks Father's Day with 'heartfelt' tweets

On the occasion of Father's Day, Bollywood celebrities are expressing their underlying love to their 'superhero' dads via social media.

Sharing a throwback picture of his late father Harivansh Rai, Big B tweeted, "T 2291 - Father's Day .. !!?? but it is every day for me .."

Posting a picture with her father, the newlywed Bipasha Basu tweeted, "Papa you are the best father in the world. Thank you ??Love you?? #happyfathersday to all :)"

Actress Dia Mirza tweeted, "Fathers never die. They just make a bigger place in our consciousness after they are gone. I am guided by love every day. #HappyFathersDay."

Varun Dhawan posted an adorable snap with his father David and captioned it as, "Happy Father's Day. Didn't want to put up a perfectly staged picture of me and my dad. This is us at home. I have the most understanding and cool dads in the world."

Randeep Hooda wrote, "A very grateful #FathersDay to celebrate with my father. He is my friend, guide, strength, inspiration &a reality check."

Among others who posted heartfelt wishes were Sonakshi Sinha, film score composer Shekhar Ravjiani, actor Boman Irani, Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar, Shraddha Kapoor and Farah Khan.

Father's Day, which was inaugurated in the early 20th century to complement Mother's Day, is a celebration honoring fathers and celebrating fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society.
