A Brazilian teacher has helped his deaf and blind friend follow his country's game in the ongoing World Cup.

Helio Fonseca de Araujo built a miniature soccer field and during Brazil's game against Croatia, he used his hands to show his friend Carlos the movement of the action on the field.

According to the New York Daily News, Carlos, aged 27, began to lose his eyesight at the age of 14 and had not watched a match in two years, but he was able to experience Brazil's opening match thanks to his friend.

Sign language instructor De Araujo had an urge as the World Cup opened Wednesday to help his friend Carlos to follow the games and the Brazilian was able to ensure that his friend, who he met 9 years ago, experience every detail of his team's opener against Croatia.

De Araujo said that that Carlos had come up with the idea himself and the instructor searched 'Measurements of a Football Field' on Google and bought materials so he could construct a mini replica.

Now Carlos can only see shapes and contours and stopped being able to watch the soccer matches two years ago, Helio said.

De Araujo said that they want Carlos to feel the same sensations that people who can see and hear feel.
