Cairns vows to do everything to prove his innocence in perjury case trial

Former New Zealand's all rounder Chris Cairns has vowed to do anything it takes to prove his innocence in London's perjury case trial.

According to Stuff.co.nz, perjury trial of the cricketer could be at least one year away.

Cairns said that he had been informed of England's Crown Prosecution Service's intention to lay charges of perjury against him..

The maximum penalty for perjury in the United Kingdom for a charge brought by the CPS is seven years imprisonment.
