CBI files case against its Deputy Legal Advisor for forgery

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a case against its Deputy Legal Advisor Beena Raizada for allegedly forging signatures of the head of the branch in her annual appraisal report in order to get a favourable promotion.

The case has been filed under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 417 read with 511, 468, 471 and 477.

The FIR has been registered under suspected offences of cheating, forgery, use of bogus documents as genuine and fraudulently committing mischief of documents.

The complainant Ashish Prasad, Deputy Superintendent of Police at CBI AC-V Unit of Bhopal had registered the complaint at CBI AC-I Unit, Delhi.

ASP Sandeep Chaudhary has been entrusted with the responsibility of investigating the case.
