In an endeavour to highlight the problems of the national capital, India's biggest private Radio-Station Radio City 91.1 organized a campaign 'Radio City Suraksha Bandhan'.
With the voice behind "Suno na Dili' show-RJ Ginnie the initiative allowed the audiences to share their city related issues on air, in a bid to find solutions.
RJ Ginnie in her morning show Suno Na Dilli questioned people who they wanted suraksha (protection) from. For example the pot holed roads, incomplete projects or anything which perturbed them.
Radio City got thousands of calls from the listeners and the biggest issue highlighted was that of the road that connects Ashram to DND which was full of potholes.
To give a solution to the same, Radio City sought help of the local AAP MLA Praveen Kumar from Jangpura and got the tattered road repaired within two days.
Speaking of the Radio City's initiative Kumar, said, "Radio City has given us a great platform to connect with our people and try resolving the issues they face in the city. It is our responsibility to fulfil the trust that our citizens bestow upon us and we believe that such great work continues and other channels take up the cause following Radio City's lead."
Similarly, the MLA of Samaypur got the broken water lines repaired.
The campaign garnered tremendous success with multiple city centric pain points coming to limelight and highlighted the brand ideology of Rag Rag mein Daude City and City ke Kone Kone Se, Mr. Kartik Kalla, EVP & National Head - Programming, Marketing & AudaCITY, Radio City 91.1 FM said "At Radio City, we are always on the lookout for ways to build engagement with our audiences through innovative campaigns.
