The controversial red carpet guest list for the premiere of the Hollywood-backed-biopic 'Diana' is set to enrage the royal family, it has been revealed.
Bosses of the flick about Princess Diana are-planning to invite guests like her -former -butler Paul -Burrell in addition to asking Mohamed al-Fayed, father of Diana's late boyfriend Dodi, to its premiere, the Mirror reported.
The biopic focuses on Princess Diana's doomed love affair with the man she called "Mr Wonderful", heart surgeon Dr Hasnat Khan.
A source has said that the film bosses know that none of the big names will attend so they're inviting every member of the Royal Family in the hope that some will be so desperate for attention they'll go.
But it would be Paul Burrell's presence that is said to upset senior royals, who was charged in 2002 with theft related to Diana's possessions.
Mohamed al-Fayed's invitation might infuriate the family too, as he had accused the Duke of Edinburgh and the Prince of Wales of being behind the death of Dodi, in the car crash which also killed Diana.
Sources have revealed that Princes William and Harry are likely to take a dim view of their invitations to the premiere and they plan to watch the film at a private screening.
Naomi Watts will be playing the character of Princess Diana and 'Lost' star Naveen Andrews would be playing the role of Dr Khan.
The flick is set for its first screening in London's Leicester Square on September 5.
