Manchester United have finally got their hands on a trophy this season as they swept to victory in a cards event dubbed the Champions League of poker.
United legend Denis Irwin reportedly captained a side of card sharks against teams from Marseille, Real Madrid, Anderlecht, and Juventus to win the poker championship.
According to the Daily Star, United's disastrous season on the field got overturned on the table as the players were helped by the club's former full-back to come out on the top at the partypoker.com Poker Champions Cup, held in Juventus' Stadium, in Turin.
A delighted Irwin said that United may not have had a lot of success this season but the persevere and this has been a good win for them.
The former full-back added that hopefully United can get back to winning ways in the next season.
