The first meeting of Haryana's new council of ministers will be held here on Monday.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Manohar Lal Khattar was yesterday sworn-in as the chief minister of Haryana in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several top NDA leaders at Panchkula's HUDA Ground.
Six cabinet ministers also took the oath of office. They were Anil Viz, Kavita Jain, OP Dhankar, Ram Vilas sharma, Om Prakash Dhankar and Captain Abhimanyu.
Khattar, a first time MLA, represents Karnal constituency in the Haryana State Assembly. Sixty-year-old Khattar is Haryana's first non-Jat chief minister in 18 years.
The BJP created history in the Haryana polls by coming to power on its own for the first time, bagging 47 seats in the 90-member assembly.
