UK Prime Minister David Cameron has been accused of being selective about human rights principles after he refused to raise Tibet issue during his visit to China next week.

10 Downing Street said that Cameron PM will not mention the Chinese repression of Tibetans during his visit to Beijing amid fears of damaging Britain's business interests, the Mirror reports.

The decision has drawn sharp criticism from human rights groups, who questioned why Cameron is running away from addressing the Tibet rights, when he stood up to the Sri Lankan premier for a similar cause.

China has continued to suppress Tibetans under their suzerainty since decades and thousands have died in the war for freedom since 1950s.

The Dalai Lama has from a long time claimed that Tibet has been illegally annexed by the Chinese.
