Bollywood actress and brand ambassador of Taj Mahal Tea, Madhuri Dixit unveiled its new raga with sitar maestro Niladri Kumar at a musical high tea held in New Delhi on Thursday evening.
The evening witnessed a mesmerizing classical and fusion musical performance by Niladri Kumar, who played Taj Mahal's new Darjeeling raga for the audience.
Speaking on the occasion, Niladri expressed his happiness to be a part of Taj Mahal Tea.
"For me, more than a challenge, it was a privilege and an honor. It was like a blessing to have this brand and work with this brand for the lineage that is associated with the brand, and I hope to continue this association for a long time."
Dressed in a gorgeous blue sari, Madhuri, who is a teetotaler, spoke about Bollywood's tea culture,
"Tea culture has always been a part of bollywood, it has always been part of music because I remember when I was little and I use to go with my mom to all these classical mehfils that use to happen and tea use to be flowing you know, everybody use to have tea and they use to listen to these lovely music. Even when I am on the sets the tea is always on the stove the stove never goes off. So it's like tea is being made all little opportunity. Even when we shoot sometimes, in between two shots we are like hey lets have some tea. So, it is tea culture everywhere." (ANI)
