Mozambique President Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, who is currently in India for a five-day visit, was accorded the Guard of Honour at the Rashtrapati Bhavan today.
A high-level delegation, including the Mozambican Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Minerals and Energy, Agriculture, Transportation and Communications and Interior, is accompanying the visiting President besides senior officials and a business delegation.
President Nyusi will meet his Indian counterpart Pranab Mukherjee and Vice-President Hamid Ansari during his visit.
President Nyusi, who is accompanied by his wife, will also visit Ahmedabad for a day. He was an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad, where he completed a short duration course in 2003.
This will be the Mozambique President's second visit as he had earlier visited India in 2011 as the Defence Minister.
