Bollywood actress Neha Dhupia, who is known for her fitness freak attitude, has said she is training hard to participate in the Mumbai Marathon to be in the city on January 19.
The event would witness the participation of India's popular long distance runners and other Bollywood stars, running for charity organisations.
Talking about her preparations, 33-year-old Dhupia said that she has trained hard and is testing herself to see if she can run for close to 22 kilometers in the half marathon category.
"The upcoming marathon is a very well organised event each year. It's one of those events where you don't go as an actor, you don't go as a celebrity. You go as a runner, you go for the discipline, you go for fitness and for contributing towards whatever charity you support. My reason was, of course to test myself if I could do it. I am running the 21.97 kilometres category and I am doing what I could do best," she said.
Former Miss India 2002, Dhupia has acted in several films, including "Shootout at Lokhandwala", "Ek Chalis ki Last Local" "Action Replayy", "Phas Gaye Re Obama" and others.
The Mumbai Marathon is divided into five race categories, with full marathon being for 42 kilometres.
