Pakistani Taliban has said that no peace talks with the government would be held with the swords of military operation hanging over their heads.
Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) spokesperson Shahidullah Shahid said that nearly 60 missing TTP operatives have been killed since the day the government raised the need for negotiations with the group to end the years long bloodshed in the country, the Nation reports.
He also blamed the government for disgracing those who tried to initiate the negotiations through the media.
Shahidullah further said that TTP is sincere in holding negotiations, but the government should stop hurling threats of army operations the group and avoid creating fear.
He further said that the recent attacks were in retaliation of the assassination of TTP Chief Hakimullah Mehsud and drone attacks on the tribesmen, mosques and other places.
