The Patna Police arrested son of retired judge R.P. Singh, Vinod Kumar, with the possession 30 bottles of foreign liquor from Boring Canal Road area in Patna on Tuesday night.
Kumar, a property dealer, was arrested from his residence-cum-office.
Station House Officer (SHO) Sanjay Verma said they got news that Kumar sold liquor bottles from his office.
Acting on a tip off, police seized liquor bottles and conducted a raid at his office.
"We found liquor bottles from his office drawer," Verma said.
Kumar is also son-in-law of former Munger's Dhanraj Singh.
Earlier during this year, the government notified the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016, to ensure that the ban on the sale and consumption of alcohol, including Indian Made Foreign Liquor, as well spiced and domestic liquor, continued.
