Former Minister of State for Home and Congress leader R.P.N Singh on Sunday said that it was extremely unfortunate that Prime Minister Narendra Modi often addresses the nation, makes so many promises and repeatedly breaks them.
Speaking to ANI, here after Prime Minister Modi's 11th Mann Ki Baat programme on All India Radio, Singh said, "I think when the prime minister addresses the nation, and when he makes promises to the nation, his promises must hold forth. But unfortunately, he has made so many promises to the nation and seems to break those promises repeatedly, which I think is completely distressing for the post of a prime minister"
Referring to the ongoing Ex-Servicemens' agitation for one rank, one pension (OROP), the former UPA minster said, " As far as jawans are concerned, I find it completely distressing that over 75 days have passed since our ex-servicemen are on hunger strike and nothing is being done till now".
