Sarah Wayne Callies set to star with Nicolas Cage in 'Pay The Ghost'

Sarah Wayne Callies will be starring alongside Nicolas Cage in the upcoming film 'Pay The Ghost.'

The 37-year-old 'The Walking Dead' star will play Cage's estranged wife, Kristen, in the Voltage Pictures' supernatural thriller film, which would be helmed by Uli Edel from a script penned by Dan Kay, based on a short story by author Tim Lebbon, Deadline.com reported.

Cage, 50, would play a professor who starts to sense his young son's presence, a year after he went missing, and comes across clues which lead to a vengeful ghost that surfaced every Halloween to abduct children. Callies' character, who's also an environmental attorney, teams up with Cage to find their son it's too late.

The filming for the project, which would be produced by Nicolas Chartier, Craig Flores, Ian Levy and Patrick Newall, and exec produced by Cybill Lui and Dennis Berardi, is expected to begin in Toronto in September 2014.
