Barcelona forward Luis Suarez produced a stellar performance on Wednesday night as he helped his side beat Paris St-Germain 3-1 in the first-leg of the Champions League quarterfinal tie.
Brazilian star forward Neymar put Barca ahead in the 18th minute before Suarez netted twice to steer his side to an unassailable 3-0 lead in the 79th minute.
PSG, however, reduced the goal deficit to two as Barca defender Jeremy Mathieu's deflected shot went past his own keeper in the 82nd minute.
The French club, who were playing without their talisman striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, suffered another blow in the form of captain Tiago Silva, who limped off soon after his compatriot Neymar scored the opening goal for the visitors, the BBC reported.
Both sides will square off against each other on 22 April at the Nou Camp in the Champions League second-leg.
