In a tragic incident, three labourers lost their lives during sewer cleaning in Uttar Pradesh's Noida.
The incident took place in Sector 110 of Noida on Thursday evening.
A local present at the accident site said, "The incident occurred at around 4-5 p.m. in the evening, but no one from the police, who came at the site, nor the city magistrate, did anything. The condition here is so worse."
Further details are awaited in the matter.
These kinds of incidents are not limited to Noida as deaths of sewer workers in the national capital have also come to fore.
After multiple deaths in the capital, in August, authorities in Delhi decided to fully mechanise cleaning sewers and penalise agencies continuing manual cleaning and giving punishment up to life imprisonment.
