Turnover on NSE's F&O segment falls
The February 2016 futures on the 50-unit Nifty 50 index traded at 7380.85, at a discount of 6.40 points compared with Nifty's closing of 7387.25 in the cash market. Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures and options (F&O) segment fell to Rs 2.21 lakh crore from turnover of Rs 2.31 lakh crore registered during the previous trading session on Friday, 5 February 2016.
In the cash market, the Nifty lost 101.85 points or 1.36% to settle at 7,387.25, its lowest closing level since 3 February 2016.
State Bank of India, Axis Bank, Jet Airways (India), Tata Steel and ICICI Bank were listed among top traded individual stock futures contracts on the futures & options (F&O) segment of NSE. State Bank of India February 2016 futures traded at 171.45, near spot closing of 171.40. Axis Bank February 2016 futures traded at 406.45, near spot closing of 406.40. Jet Airways (India) February 2016 futures traded at 593.70, at a premium compared with spot closing of 591.75.
Tata Steel February 2016 futures traded at 235.75, near spot closing of 235. ICICI Bank February 2016 futures traded at 206.40, near spot closing of 206.35.
The February 2016 F&O contracts are set to expire on 25 February 2016.
