Turnover rises
Nifty May 2014 futures were at 6731.50, at a premium of 32.15 points over spot closing of 6699.35. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment rose to Rs 69757 crore from Rs 61725.24 crore on Friday, 2 May 2014.
Century Textiles & Industries May 2014 futures were at 382.15, at a premium over spot closing of 379.70.
Canara Bank May 2014 futures were at 308, at a premium over spot closing of 305.10.
Tata Steel May 2014 futures were at 400, at a premium over spot closing of 396.95.
In the spot market, the 50-unit CNX Nifty rose 4.55 points or 0.07% to settle at 6,699.35, its highest closing level since 29 April 2014.
The May 2014 derivatives contracts expire on 29 May 2014.
