Turnover on NSE's F&O segment drops
The Nifty May 2018 futures traded at 10660.05, a premium of 41.80 points compared with the Nifty's spot closing of 10618.25 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment dropped to Rs 3.67 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 11.81 lakh crore registered in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index fell 61.40 points or 0.57% to settle at 10,618.25.
NIIT Technologies, Hexaware Technologies, MindTree, HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. NIIT Technologies May 2018 futures traded at 1039, at a premium over spot closing price of 1030.70. Hexaware Technologies May 2018 futures traded at 379.25, at a steep discount from spot closing of 390.80.
MindTree May 2018 futures traded at 1018.10, at a premium over spot closing of 1014. HDFC Bank May 2018 futures traded at 1987.15, at a premium over spot closing of 1985.40. ICICI Bank May 2018 futures traded at 284.50, at a premium over spot closing of 282.80.
The May 2018 F&O contracts expire on 31 May 2018.
