Nifty May futures at small premium

Turnover surges

The Nifty May 2018 futures traded at 10,619, a small premium of 1.20 points compared with the Nifty's spot closing of 10617.80 in the cash market. The Nifty April 2018 futures traded at 10,622.85, a small premium of 5.05 points compared with the Nifty's spot closing of 10570.55 in the cash market.

The April 2018 F&O contracts expired today, 26 April 2018. The May 2018 F&O contracts expire on 31 May 2018.

Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment surged to Rs 14.14 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 9.98 lakh crore registered in the previous session.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index rose 47.25 points or 0.45% to settle at 10,617.80.

Yes Bank, Reliance Industries (RIL), HDFC Bank, TCS and SBI were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. Yes Bank May 2018 futures traded at 359.20, at a premium over spot closing of 358.15. RIL May 2018 futures traded at 975.35, at a premium over spot closing of 973.15.

HDFC Bank May 2018 futures traded at 1926.40, at a premium over spot closing of 1926.10. TCS May 2018 futures traded at 3522.60, at a discount from spot closing of 3523.95. SBI May 2018 futures traded at 234.60, at a premium over spot closing of 233.25.
