The dressing room in the current Indian Test cricket team is a happy place to be in, India's wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha said here on Wednesday.
"The dressing room atmosphere with the Indian team is better than what it is here with Bengal and in form of club cricket you can say," Saha, who played a vital role in India's 3-0 whitewash of New Zealand, told reporters.
"Like it is very serious here (with the Bengal team), it's not like that when I am with Team India," he added.
Asked how accessible is chief coach and leg-spin legend Anil Kumble, Saha said: "He is always willing to guide you. He has a sense of humour and that reflects in the dressing room which is so relaxed.
"We have won two Test series on the trot so everything is goring well as far as (captain) Virat (Kohli) and Anil bhai is concerned."
Saha said every batsman has his own style of playing and that he likes to spend more time on the crease.
"Every batsman has his own approach. Some score few runs playing a lot of balls and some cannot survive a lot of balls. I like to play a lot of balls when I am batting," he noted.
On whether sledging will be a factor as England like to do that more often than not to instigate opposition, Saha said, "Well if you react they do it more. That's the plan. We didn't sledge against New Zealand. England and Australia like to sledge and we know that."
Saha refused to name any specific English player India need to guard against. However, he underlined that: "At home, we are the favourites."
The Bengal stumper was talking on the sidelines of the team meeting Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) president Sourav Ganguly after winning two back-to-back Ranji Trophy matches. The Manoj Tiwary led side beat Punjab and the Railways to log 12 points.
