A 27-year-old man was arrested for raping his 19-year-old wife in the capital, police said Tuesday.
The victim was married to the accused, Rahul.
"A few days ago the girl came to know that Rahul was already married. She then approached police and filed a complaint," a police officer said.
Rahul had got married nine years ago and has two children, who stay in Okhla.
A case was registered Monday after her medical examination confirmed rape. Rahul was arrested and sent to judicial custody.
