The Kerala High Court Friday dismissed a plea by seven people, lecturers included, and upheld a lower court's order holding them guilty of sexually exploiting a girl student.
The incident occurred in 1997 when three college lecturers and their friends assaulted the student of the NSS College in Alappuzha district.
In 2002, the Kottayam additional sessions court sentenced them to 11 years' imprisonment.
