With harvesting in full swing after a delay caused by the recent weather disturbances, wheat arrivals in grain markets across Haryana are picking up. Over 25 lakh tonnes of wheat has arrived in the grain markets so far, a senior minister said.
Haryana Food and Supplies minister Ram Bilas Sharma said on Wednesday that wheat arrivals in grain markets had crossed 25 lakh tonnes. Over 99 percent of this had been procured by government agencies.
Karnal, Kaithal and Jind districts were leading in wheat arrivals.
