Saniya Touqeer to play double role in 'Waaris'

Child actress Saniya Touqeer, who has received appreciation for her role of Manu in TV show "Waaris", will be taking on a double role in it.

Saniya will now also be seen as Preet, and will dress up in pretty dresses and new hairdo.

Actor Ashish Kapoor will be seen as a con man, who will be seen cheating people for money. He will cross paths with Amba's (Aarti Singh) family along with Preet, who will be seen as his daughter.

"I am very excited with my new look in the show as well as the twist in my character. I am very happy with the love I received on the sets for my new look and I hope the viewers enjoy watching me in my new role in the show," Saniya said in a statement.

"Waaris", aired on &TV, is based on cultural issues and shows a mother (Aarti Singh) bringing up a girl child as a boy.

The show also features Akshay Dogra and Swati Bajpai.
