The July 7 terror attack in Bodh Gaya led to a "sense of shock and sense of concern" in Myanmar on whether the serial bombings were related to the sectarian violence between Rohingya Muslims and Buddhists in that country, said an official source here.
The Myanmarese government were concerned about what the bombings meant, and if they were related to the developments in Myanmar or it was an act of terror, said the source.
India has assured Myanmar it will keep it informed of the probe into the terror bombings.
India has also informed Myanmar that it would like to see Bodh Gaya, where the Buddha is believed to have attained enlightenment, as a "very special place of peace and pilgrimage", said the source.
The Myanmar authorities had also raised with India the issue of injuries to a Myanmarese national in the blast last Sunday.
Indian intelligence agencies had reportedly alerted the Bihar government about the possibility of terror attacks from "fringe elements" sympathetic to the Rohingya Muslims, scores of who have been killed and thousands forced to flee Myanmar due to the persecution in the Buddhist-majority country.
The Myanmar government is carrying forward the "process of integration" in society, the source said, adding that "in a tangential way they are conscious of the need to address the issue and are doing it".
The Bodh Gaya blasts left two people, including a Myanmarese monk, injured.
