Paris, Aug 26 (IANS/EFE) At least three people were killed in a shootout in France's Roye town, a media report said.
The shootout, that took place on Tuesday in a Roma camp, left a man, a woman and a child dead, while the injured assailant wounded a minor and two gendarmes, according to French newspaper Courrier Picard.
Primary investigations revealed that a first shootout occurred inside the camp, which is located near a Gendarmerie station.
A second shootout broke out when the gendarmes arrived, leaving two of them wounded, one in critical condition.
The gunman was arrested and the area was cordoned off to keep back the droves of spectators from the camp.
