Three young men were killed in Meerut in Uttar Pradesh when a Motorcycle they were riding fell off a flyover during a race, police said on Tuesday.
The incident happened around midnight on the flyover on the Partapur bypass.
A police officer said the youth were headed for a relative's house when they decided to race to their destination. Three were on a Pulsar bike while two others were on a Bullet.
While racing at high speed one of the bikers apparently lost control. The vehicle skidded and hit the flyover before plunging many feet down on the road below.
All three were killed on the spot. The deceased have been identified as Puneet, Mohit and Manvendra.
Their bodies have been sent for autopsy and their families informed.
