Moment of truth?

For Manishankar Aiyar who recently led a delegation of the Members of Parliament to Pakistan, the most startling, enlivening and enlightening moment of the dialogue came when a Pakistani participant said, “The most basic and fundamental issue between India and Pakistan is . . . (oh ho, here comes Kashmir, Aiyar thought!) . . . the need for a change in mindsets.” Aiyar hopes this is a new turn in India-Pakistan relations. But he fears, it might not be.
