The growth path

Statistics suggest that the Economic Survey has "grown" faster than the Indian economy! As Chief Economic Advisor Kaushik Basu jokingly pointed out, the number of pages in the latest annual survey had grown 7.8 per cent, almost a percentage point higher than India's projected GDP growth of 6.9 per cent for the current financial year.
