The main accused local TC leader Atikur Rahaman remains absconding since they beat up land revenue officer Joy Majumdar demanding immediate change in the land settlement record, the police said.
ADM land and land reforms department Sanjib Chaki said, "An FIR has been lodged against Rahaman and five others at Baishnabnagar police station."
"Rahaman and his henchmen attacked Majumdar yesterday after he refused to change the land settlement record immediately citing that the process takes around 20 days to complete," Chaki said.
