Assam river flowing in high-flood situation

The Buridehing river in Dibrugarh district of Assam is flowing in High-Flood Situation, the Ministry of Water Resources said today.
According to the ministry, at 1800hrs, the river was flowing at a level of 103.6m with rising trend. That was 1.49m above the danger level of 102.11m and 0.32m below its previous Highest Flood Level of 103.92m, recorded on August 25, 1988.
It may be recalled that nearly three lakh people have been affected by floods in Assam, which has hit 15 districts of the state.
