Twenty five people were today arrested in connection with violence during Ram Navami procession yesterday at Shivandih as the curfew continued to remain in force in four police station areas of Bokaro with the authorities relaxing it for two hours in the morning.
Deputy Commissioner R M Patre said the people arrested belonged to both the clashing groups.
He said the curfew was relaxed for two hours from 5.30 AM to 7.30 AM in the areas under Balidih, Maraphari, Sector-12 and Bokaro Steel City police stations.
He said the situation was under control after curfew was imposed last night after the stone throwing incident that left 19 persons, including a magistrate and four policemen, injured.
The police had to use batons and tear gas shells to bring the situation under control.
