He and other district CPM leaders visited Karagraharam, Pothepalli, Pottlapalem, Kothapudi, Kona and Tumallacheruvu villages of Machilipatnam mandal and assured full support to farmers and villagers whose lands would be acquired for the project.
Speaking to PTI, he blamed the AP state government for issuing a land acquisition notification August 31 midnight, a day before the central government's land acquisition ordinance lapsed, deliberately to avoid doing a social impact assessment of the project.
