Cranston, whose own AMC drama is set to conclude this weekend, previously appeared on the show in 2006 and 2007, where he served as Ted's superior at an architecture firm, reported People magazine.
Cranston is not the last guest star to do a cameo on the show for its final season. The season premiere saw the return of Wayne Brady as James, Barney's brother, and producers have hinted there will bring many more names from the past.
