The two corridors -- Aurobindo Marg and the stretch between Chirag Delhi to Savitri flyover -- will see coordinated action among the PWD, municipal corporations, DDA and the Delhi Police towards decongestion, an LG office statement said.
The decision was taken at a meeting on traffic management at Raj Niwas, the official residence of the LG, that was attended by PWD Minister Satyendar Jain, Chief Secretary MM Kutty, south Delhi municipal commissioner, DDA vice chairman and special commissioner of police (Traffic) among others.
"It was agreed by all the stakeholders on board that certain activities such as removal of encroachment, restructuring and redesigning of certain road stretches, construction of foot over bridges and underpasses wherever necessary need to be undertaken immediately," it added.
