"The vehicle, Novus Drive, is the first-of-its-kind to be manufactured in the country. It is India's first driver-less vehicle and it works on artificial intelligence," Anuj Kapuria, its director and chief executive officer, told reporters today.
He said the vehicle, a completely domestic product, from its research to technology, would revolutionise transport in controlled atmosphere like intra-university travel, large office premises, elderly health care communities, trade fair and theme parks, besides in upcoming smart cities.
Over the past few years, a talent pool from premier institutes of the world is working at THRSL which was founded in late 2004, Kapuria said.
