Ghaziabad municipal body to build 4 garbage dump yard zones

Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam (GNN) will construct four garbage dumping grounds in the city to tackle garbage problem.
The dump yards will be built at Kavi Nagar, Vijay Nagar, Mohan Nagar and Vasundhara zones. The civic body has also identified land for the purpose, Health Officer Dr RK Yadav said.
A team of consultants and environment experts will survey the areas for checking the feasibility, Yadav said.
As per plans, garbage will be collected at each dumping ground from various colonies of that zone. It will then be segregated as bio-degradable and re-cycle-able waste.
Re-cycle-able waste such as paper, polythene, iron and wooden pieces will be sold in the market, Yadav added.
